Since starting the professional IT career back in 2006, I've had a chance to work with different technologies, diverse teams and various roles.
I've participated as an individual contributor but also as a team lead, jumping head-first into ongoing projects, or nurturing new projects from the very beginning, by making infrastructure and architectural decisions.
During these last 15+ years, I've grown to respect a few key principles:
- Adherence to programming best practices and conventions
- Striving for a clean code (thanks, uncle Bob!)
- Reliance on solid and sane team organization and communication
- Respectful but proactive attitude towards the client (acting as a partner in client's success, not as a passive implementer of directives)
I've participated in several product teams, mostly revolving around the client's flagship product, a hotels digital directory. Apart from the day-to-day product development and maintenance responsibilities as part of the frontend team (a hotel task manager tool, micro-frontends for the CMS and the PWA website), I've also taken full ownership over developing API for a new AI RAG Chatbot feature, built from scratch. I've also participated in internal knowledge sharing sessions, where I helped the team get up to speed with the latest advancements in RAG-centered AI technologies.
As a dedicated software developer with extensive experience in both front-end and full-stack development, I have contributed to a diverse range of projects. Some of them required expertise in modern web technologies and frameworks to deliver robust, user-friendly applications, while others required adaptability and resourcefulness to quickly get productive on a legacy, in-house ERP project.
In my role as a full-stack WordPress developer and a partner, I successfully managed various aspects of our business, combining technical development with strategic business analysis and customer support. This multifaceted experience allowed me to enhance my skills in web development while contributing to the growth and sustainability of our venture.
I have participated in a range of projects that required strong background in both front-end and full-stack development, complemented by leadership experience in managing project teams. My work spaned various industries, including government, insurance, and hospitality, where I have helped deliver innovative solutions using a diverse range of technologies.
